Calling all people in the Prince of Tennis fandom on my friends list.
I had an idea last night, whilst sifting through the Amecon forums. I happened across a topic called 'The Travelling Sketchbook.' It is exactly what it says. A sketchbook that travels. I thought that it was a wonderful idea, and so... I thought, hey. It sounds like it could be a hell of a lot of fun.
So what I would like to do is get one going for the Prince of Tennis fandom.
I'd like to gather as many artists in the fandom as I can, and get them to sketch in a book that I shall buy. All entries in the book will have to be by traditional means only - pencil, coloured pencil, paint, markers, anything like that. And - hopefully - it will travel across the world.
Now. What would be the point of all this? At the end, wouldn't it just end up coming back to me? That's true. But once all the artists have finished, and the sketchbook is returned back to the UK, I would like to propose that this happens. A raffle. I would like to raffle off the book and give any/all proceeds to a charity or something that needs fundraising.
My problem lies here. I give money to loads of different charities, so I'll find it hard pressed to decide upon just one - though I'll admit here that I donate most often to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. I would like for you, please, to leave a comment to highlight the charity that you would like to see the proceeds go to. And, I would also like for you to fill out the poll below, to see the general consensus on this idea. I'd really appreciate any and all thoughts that you have on this. Thank you!
I know that there will be problems concerning parents who may not want their children to recieve things in the mail, so there may have to be an age limit or something. And of course rules concerning what can/cannot be drawn in the book will be laid down, but those will come later, once I have a little more feedback on the idea. I'm going to leave this entry PUBLIC. If you would like to link to it - give it to artists that you know in the fandom - then, please do. I'd love to get as much feedback on this idea as possible.
